Physical inactivity is a primary cause of most chronic diseases. Researches have found that the lack of physical inactivity have strong relations to many health conditions including:

  •               Coronary heart disease,
  •               Type 2 diabetes,
  •         Stroke
  •            Depression,
  •                Breast and colon cancer
  •                In some cases – death (Booth, Roberts & Laye, 2011)

Because a large portion of the world is inactive, it is classified as public health issue. A recent study has concluded that the risks of smoking coincide with inactivity implying that the lack of exercise could be as deadly as smoking
